Protecting privacy and personal data is a fundamental commitment of MEG'S PROJECT (MEG'S) to every individual whose personal data is processed (hereinafter referred to as the "data subject") and who uses MEG'S digital platforms and services.
With the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April, applicable from 25 May 2018, and subsequently the publication of Portuguese Law No. 58/2019 of 8 August, which implements the GDPR in Portuguese law, MEG'S remains firmly committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of individuals using its digital platforms and services.
Accordingly, MEG'S has updated its Privacy Policy in accordance with the principles and data protection requirements established by the GDPR.
This document explains what personal data we collect, the purposes for which it may be used, how we process it, with whom we share it, how long we retain it, and how you can contact us and exercise your rights.
We also recommend consulting the Terms and Conditions of Use of our Digital Platforms and our Cookie Policy. Any updates will be made available through MEG'S digital platforms.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) establishes rules governing the processing of personal data relating to individuals within the European Union (EU) by individuals, companies and organisations.
The GDPR protects personal data regardless of the technology used to process it.
This protection is technologically neutral and applies to both automated and manual processing, provided that the data is organised according to predefined criteria, such as alphabetical order.
The method of storage is also irrelevant. Whether personal data is stored electronically, collected through video surveillance or maintained in paper records, it remains subject to the data protection requirements established by the GDPR.
